The Troubles Of Immigration

Border Officer is a simulation game developed by Cocopo and published by Cheesecake. The game features an interactive simulation of an immigration officer’s job similar to Papers, Please. The game takes place in the rural country of Stavronzka where everybody is unemployed. The Stavronzkan state decides to give the player an opportunity to work for them. As a breadwinner of the family, players have to work as an immigration officer. Their job is to interview and inspect people crossing the border. They have to check if the person is hiding a deadly weapon or contraband. The State may release new rules or policies about immigration so players must adapt efficiently. The other game objective is to keep the players’ family alive. They have to also pay bills as well as medication for the sick member of the family. There are also choices like joining an underground society to overthrow the country, gambling or scavenging for food.
